How to get a visa to Thailand for citizens of Uzbekistan
Starting from September 15, 2026, citizens of Uzbekistan will need a visa to travel to Thailand. Visa-free entry and visa on arrival are no longer valid. The visa must be applied for in advance via Thai e-Visa, and the consular fee must be paid at the Embassy of Thailand in Moscow. How to apply for a visa to Thailand for citizens of Uzbekistan
For a leisure trip, a Tourist Visa (TR) is required. A single-entry visa is issued for three months, allowing a stay in Thailand of up to 60 days. The consular fee is 40 dollars, according to the Embassy of Thailand in Moscow.
For those who travel to Thailand frequently, a Multiple Entry Tourist Visa (METV) may be suitable. Its cost is 200 dollars, and its validity period is six months. The requirements for it are stricter: a bank statement for the last three months is needed, showing a balance of no less than 2,000 dollars each month, as well as a travel itinerary and a certificate of employment.
If the trip is related to study, work, medical treatment, or long-term residence in Thailand, a different visa will be required. All types of visas and their requirements are listed on the website of the Embassy of Thailand in Moscow.
What documents are needed
Before applying, you should prepare: a passport valid for at least six months and a copy of it; a 4 × 6 cm photograph taken no earlier than six months before application: light background, full face, without headwear or dark glasses, shoulders covered; fully paid round-trip airline tickets; a hotel or other accommodation booking in Thailand; a certificate of permanent residence in Uzbekistan; an original bank statement.
Documents are uploaded to the Thai e-Visa system. The embassy accepts documents in Russian, Uzbek, or any language other than English only along with an English translation certified by a notary.
For minors, a notarized copy of the birth certificate and notarized consent from parents or a legal representative are additionally required if the child is traveling without one or both parents.
