How can you get married in Uzbekistan and how much does it cost?

An application for marriage registration can be submitted through my.gov.uz or directly to the Civil Registry Office. The application is first filled out on the portal by one of the future spouses, and the other confirms it using a special code. In this article, we will provide information about the stages of marriage registration, the waiting period, and mandatory fees.

What is the procedure for legalizing marriage in Uzbekistan and how much does it cost?

The process of applying for marriage registration:

A prospective spouse can apply online through the my.gov.uz portal or visit the registry office in person.

According to the portal, filling out the application takes about six minutes.

The application is completed in two stages, but not simultaneously. First, one of the prospective spouses creates an application (we will call it the "applicant"). Then, the second participant receives a special code from this application and completes his part. Let's consider each stage separately.

The applicant's tasks:

1. Select the "New application" service.

2. Check his personal identification number (PII). This number is automatically obtained from the account logged in to the system and entered. Through this number, the system will automatically receive other information, such as passport data, date of birth, nationality and place of birth.

3. Accept the terms of the public offer and submit the application.

4. Receive the invoice code issued by the system in response to the submitted application.

The applicant must provide this code to the second participant. It is important to hurry here, because the invoice code is valid for only three days. If the second participant does not have time to enter the code within this period, the application will automatically be canceled and will have to be submitted again.
