Hero of Uzbekistan Parda Ziyatov has passed away at the age of 79

Hero of Uzbekistan Parda Ziyatov passed away on September 23 at the age of 79.

According to the presidential press service, Shavkat Mirziyoyev expressed condolences on the passing of the well-known farmer, who dedicated his entire life and career to the development of the agricultural sector.

"The memory of Parda Ziyatov, an outstanding representative of our country's agricultural sector, a labor veteran, and a sincere and humble person, will always remain in our hearts," reads the condolence message, which, in addition to the president, was signed by T. Norboyeva, N. Ismoilov, A. Aripov, S. Turdiyev, I. Abdurahmonov, and U. Mustafoyev.

He was born in 1947 in the Sharof Rashidov (formerly Jizzakh) district of the Jizzakh region. After graduating from high school, he studied agronomy at the Samarkand Agricultural College. Upon returning from military service, he began his career as a timekeeper at the Hamroqul Nosirov collective farm in the district. Later, he worked in the same farm as a brigade leader and chief contractor of the cooperative farm. From 2003 to 2018, he headed the "Quyoshsevar Parda" farm in the Sharof Rashidov district. He established his own school of experience in cotton and grain growing.

From 1990 to 1995, he served as a deputy of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan, from 2005 to 2015 as a member of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis, and for many years as a deputy of the regional and district Kengashes (councils) of People's Deputies.

Parda Ziyatov was awarded the title of Hero of Uzbekistan for his many years of fruitful work.

In June of this year, another Hero of Uzbekistan — writer, literary scholar, and translator Ibrohim Gafurov — passed away. Shavkat Mirziyoyev had expressed condolences on the passing of the prominent literary scholar, who made a great contribution to the development of national literature and culture.
