He was just sleeping near the elevator: video of animal cruelty against a cat appears online

A video showing a man abusing a defenseless cat has spread on social media. According to the authors of the post, the recording was reportedly made on October 28 in an apartment building entrance in Tashkent.

The video shows the cat sleeping peacefully next to the elevator. A man approaches it, pettings it, picks it up, and carries it to the stairwell one floor below.

There, he begins to strangle the animal. All of this lasts for about 20 seconds. Then the man walks back up and leaves, leaving the cat lying motionless.

What happened to the animal remains unknown. The authors of the post suggest that the cat may have died, but there is no confirmation of this information.

The creators of the video are appealing to Tashkent residents to help identify the location of the incident and the identity of the man. Perhaps someone will recognize the entrance, the stairwell, or the cat itself.

Furthermore, they are calling on law enforcement agencies to establish the circumstances of the incident and provide a legal assessment of the man's actions.

The publication also raises the issue of accountability for animal cruelty. The authors believe that such cases require serious attention and suggest considering the creation of a registry of individuals who have committed cruel acts against animals.
