In the 2025/2026 season, Kane won the German Supercup, the DFB-Pokal, and the Bundesliga title with Bayern. With the England national team, he won the bronze medal at the 2026 World Cup. Between August 2025 and July 2026, he scored 73 goals in 65 matches for Bayern and the England national team.
According to the voting results, second place was taken by Real Madrid and France striker Kylian Mbappé. The top three was rounded out by Barcelona and Spain striker Lamine Yamal.
