The head of the Nurafshon city youth affairs department, Mirkarim Ahmadjonov, was dismissed from his post for insulting and pressuring youth leaders in the neighborhoods. This became known after the release of an audio recording of Ahmadjonov's meeting with youth leaders.

In the released audio recording, the head of the department can be heard insulting employees with derogatory words and calling them "donkeys." He also objected to the careless approach to filling out daily data, reports, and schedules. Despite the presence of women at the meeting, the head continued to insult them.

Among Ahmadjonov's words are: "If you go to the neighborhood, you won't come out... Donkey, it's all the same... Go, go out to your "lover"... Do you like such a stinking thing? If I told you two hours ago, you'd be half an hour late. I'm not talking to anyone, you're half an hour late. What about you? For goodness sake, are you answering me like that?"

During the meeting, when one of the employees objected, saying "don't censor," the head of the department was heard threatening to talk to him separately and saying "if you don't like it, write a complaint."

The Tashkent Regional Department of the Youth Affairs Agency and the Nurafshon City Khokimiyat conducted an internal investigation into this situation. As a result of the investigation, the reports that spread were confirmed.

As it turned out, the incident occurred on August 18. During the meeting, Ahmadjonov grossly violated the requirements of official etiquette and professional ethics. A number of other shortcomings were also identified in his work.

After a conversation with the official, he admitted his guilt and asked to terminate his employment contract. As a result, the employment contract concluded with him was terminated. Currently, an investigation into other shortcomings in his work is ongoing.

We would like to remind you that earlier, an audio recording was released in which Abdulla Mamatkulov, the khokim of the Muzrabot district of the Surkhandarya region, insulted and threatened farmers who did not fulfill the grain plan. It said, "If you don't shut up, I'll shut up... Hey, lamb, shut up, do you understand?" Later, after a presentation by the Anti-Corruption Agency, the regional khokim reprimanded the district head who violated the rules of etiquette.

In Fergana, an audio recording of the governor of the Kuva district, Halimjon Umarov, who was seen acting unethically at a meeting with farmers, insulting them and demanding they hand over their land was released. He was also censured after the Anti-Corruption Agency filed a complaint.

The newspaper, together with human rights activist Abdurakhmon Tashanov and political scientist Farhod Tolipov, tried to find answers to questions such as how officials' rude behavior towards citizens should be assessed from a human rights perspective and how they should establish communication with people.
