It will be possible to travel directly by train from Urgench airport to Khiva

The new terminal of Urgench International Airport will be directly connected to Khiva by railway. After arrival, passengers will be able to transfer to a train and continue their journey to the tourist center of Khorezm.

This became known following a press tour to the air harbor, in which a correspondent of Podrobno.uz took part.

As the director of Urgench airport, Oybek Matkarimov, reported, the railway line next to the future terminal has already been built.

"According to our plan, this railway line will provide direct access from the terminal to the railway. It will be possible to travel directly to Khiva along one line without leaving the terminal," he said.

A landscaped station square with an area of about 20,000 square meters, featuring access roads and pedestrian zones, will also be built in front of the new terminal. The parking lot will be designed for approximately one thousand cars.

In addition, new high-speed electric trains began operating between Khiva and Bukhara on September 9. The trains are designed for 415 passengers, and the journey between the two cities takes about four and a half hours.
