Free fishing in Uzbekistan will not be canceled: what Fisherman ID will change
The introduction of Fisherman ID does not mean the cancellation of free fishing in public water bodies, the Fisheries Development Center reported. Citizens will still be able to catch up to 5 kg of fish for free using permitted gear.
The new system was created for organized recreational and sport fishing. With its help, users will be able to choose a water body, find out the conditions and cost, check the availability of vacant spots, and book them.
After payment, the user will receive an electronic receipt with a QR code. It will enable them to use the booked service on the designated day.
Fisheries will be able to voluntarily post information about their water bodies on the platform. Fisherman ID will also be integrated with a marketplace, a mobile application, and payment services.
Thus, the system applies to additional paid services. The right to free fishing in public water bodies remains in place.
