Foreign investments to be attracted to New Tashkent and "Shirin" massifs

Instructions were given to increase the interest of foreign investors in New Tashkent projects and to attract them through specific proposals. The initial 50 lots have been determined, and a package of proposals containing their location, project capabilities, economic calculations, and provided concessions will be delivered to ambassadors.

Diplomatic missions abroad were tasked with familiarizing foreign investors more widely with investment opportunities in New Tashkent. Ministers, on the other hand, must conduct project presentations at every meeting with foreign partners and major companies, inviting them to participate in joint projects.

The head of state emphasized that the announced opportunities should not remain only on paper. For this, ready-made proposals indicating land plots, economic calculations, and implementation deadlines must be given to investors.

The President also recalled that the construction of the "Shirin" massif in the city of Samarkand was started on the same day as New Tashkent. However, the work in the massif was criticized for progressing slowly. Only 19 hectares of land have been allocated to entrepreneurs, while the remaining areas stand empty.

The bridge connecting the massif with the city center was supposed to be commissioned by September 1. Additionally, the relocation of the regional khokimiyat and department buildings has not yet begun. It was noted that state agencies themselves are not showing sufficient activity, which negatively affects entrepreneurs' decisions to invest.

In this regard, the benefits and opportunities established for New Tashkent will also be applied to the "Shirin" massif. Here, too, investors should be presented with specific projects, economically justified proposals, and favorable conditions for operating.
