Foreign investment: China's share reaches 47 percent
China had the largest share of foreign investments and loans absorbed in Uzbekistan in January-June 2026 - 47 percent. Russia and Turkey took the next places.

China accounted for almost half of all foreign investments in Uzbekistan.
According to the National Statistics Committee, from January to June 2026, a total of 338.9 trillion soums were invested in fixed capital from all sources of financing for the development of the economy and social sphere of Uzbekistan.
69.5 percent of these investments were accounted for by foreign investments and loans.
China significantly surpassed other countries in terms of the volume of attracted foreign investments and loans and took the lead. Its share was 47 percent.
Russia was next with a share of 7.4 percent, and Turkey with a share of 6.6 percent.
Also, the share of Saudi Arabia in terms of the volume of foreign investments and loans was 4.1 percent, the United Arab Emirates with 3.2 percent, and Kazakhstan with 2.5 percent.
Thus, China remains the country with the largest share in foreign investments and loans attracted to Uzbekistan in the first half of 2026.
