Uzbekistan attracts UZS 338.9 trillion in investment in H1 2026

Uzbekistan attracted UZS 338.9 trillion in investment in fixed capital from all sources of financing in January–June 2026, according to the National Statistics Committee.

Uzbekistan drew UZS 338.9 trillion in investments during the first half of 2026.

This sum represents a 17.5% increase compared to the same period last year, indicating ongoing growth in investment endeavors and the execution of significant projects across various economic sectors.

**Manufacturing Leads Sectoral Investment**

Manufacturing garnered the largest portion of investment, attracting UZS 100.5 trillion, which is almost 30% of the total investment in fixed capital.

Agriculture, forestry, and fishing received UZS 32.9 trillion, while UZS 32.5 trillion was directed into construction. The electricity, gas, steam, and air-conditioning supply sector accounted for UZS 29.9 trillion.

Housing construction secured UZS 27.3 trillion, followed by mining and quarrying with UZS 21.8 trillion, and transportation and storage with UZS 16.3 trillion.

Wholesale and retail trade, along with the repair of motor vehicles and motorcycles, obtained UZS 13.7 trillion. Water supply, sewerage, waste collection, and disposal received UZS 7.4 trillion, while UZS 7.2 trillion was invested in education.

Information and communications attracted UZS 5.8 trillion, and accommodation and food services received UZS 5.6 trillion. Professional, scientific, and technical activities accounted for UZS 4.6 trillion, matching the amount for healthcare and social services.

Financial and insurance activities received UZS 2.4 trillion, while arts, entertainment, and recreation attracted UZS 2 trillion. Other economic activities made up UZS 24.4 trillion.

These investment figures demonstrate that capital is being distributed across a wide array of sectors, encompassing manufacturing, energy, and mining, as well as construction, transport, education, healthcare, and digital services.

Manufacturing continues to be the primary recipient of investment, while substantial capital flows into infrastructure, energy, housing, and socially vital sectors signal a broader expansion of investment activity.

The 17.5% year-over-year rise in investment provides additional capital for boosting production capacity, developing infrastructure, and strengthening Uzbekistan's economic foundation.
