Farmers will be compensated for part of the cost of diesel fuel at a price above 15 million soums per ton
Agricultural enterprises in Uzbekistan will be reimbursed for part of the cost of diesel purchased on the exchange from July 1 to December 1. If the price exceeds 15 million soums per ton, the state will cover the difference, but not more than 2 million soums.

In Uzbekistan, agricultural enterprises will temporarily be compensated for part of the costs of diesel fuel purchased through commodity exchanges. This measure is provided for by the presidential decree of September 12 on reforming the liquefied gas market.
The compensation will apply to fuel purchased between July 1 and December 1, 2026.
If the exchange price of one ton of diesel fuel exceeds 15 million soums, the agricultural enterprise will be reimbursed the excess amount from the republican budget. At the same time, the subsidy amount is limited to 2 million soums per ton.
For example, if a ton of diesel is purchased for 16 million soums, the compensation will be 1 million soums. If the price reaches 18 million soums, the subsidy amount will still not exceed the established maximum of 2 million soums per ton.
Payments will be made through the Agricultural Payments Agency.
The decree also provides for budget financing of another subsidy in the liquefied gas sector. Starting from 2027, expenses to cover the difference between the regulated retail price of gas for the population and the economically justified costs of the new operator, LPG-Trade, must be provided for as a separate line item in the state budget parameters.
In addition, for the transportation of liquefied gas produced at domestic enterprises and intended for the population, a flat railway tariff will be introduced for LPG-Trade across the entire republic, regardless of the transportation distance.
683.4 thousand tons — only 1.4% more than a year earlier (673.7 thousand tons). In July, about 115.4 thousand tons of diesel fuel were produced — 1.6% less than in June.
Imports of diesel fuel in the first half of the year decreased by 18.7% to 283 thousand tons, and its cost fell by 11.1% to 228.9 million dollars. At the same time, the average import price rose by 9.4% to 809 dollars per ton. In June, imports shrank to 2.8 thousand tons compared to 51.8 thousand tons a year earlier.
