E’zozxon Karimova has become the first deputy head of the Center for Spirituality and Enlightenment

E’zozxon Karimova has been appointed as the First Deputy of the Republican Spirituality and Enlightenment Center, the center's press service reports.

Prior to this, she had been serving as the Minister of Preschool and School Education since June 2025. This position was abolished due to the decision to merge the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation and the Ministry of Preschool and School Education into a single Ministry of Education and Science.

E’zozxon Karimova was born in 1973 in the Namangan district. In 1990, she graduated from the Hamid Olimjon secondary school with an honors diploma and entered the Faculty of Philosophy at Tashkent State University.

In 2004, Karimova headed the Spirituality and Enlightenment Center under the Tashkent University of Information Technologies. In 2005, she studied at the Academy of State and Social Construction under the President.

In 2021–2021, E’zozxon Karimova worked as a department head at the Agency for the Development of Presidential, Creative and Specialized Schools, and in 2021–2023, as an advisor to the director of the Agency for Presidential Educational Institutions.

In 2023–2024, she worked as the Vice-Rector for Youth Affairs and Spiritual and Educational Work at the "New Uzbekistan" University within the system of the Ministry of Preschool and School Education. Afterward, she served as the advisor to the director of the Agency for Specialized Educational Institutions on improving the efficiency of spiritual and educational work and ensuring compliance with legislation on the state language.

Before becoming minister, she was the Deputy Minister of Preschool and School Education — Rector of the Nizami Tashkent State Pedagogical University since May 2025.
