Europe's tallest residential building is planned to be built in Moscow
The Moscow administration has approved the architectural design of a 450-meter-high residential skyscraper planned for construction in the "Moscow-City" area. If the project is realized, it is expected to become the tallest residential building in Europe.
Plans are underway to construct the tallest residential building in Europe in Moscow. According to the Naked Science publication, the building will be constructed on Antonov-Ovseyenko Street, within the territory of the future "City-2" complex. The project was developed by the "Meganom" architectural bureau.
The skyscraper is designed to consist of 95 floors above ground and five floors underground. It will house 1,018 apartments. The total area of the complex will exceed 225,000 square meters.
Official visual renderings of the project have not yet been published. However, previously circulated concepts likened its appearance to the structure of the "Jenga" board game. The architectural solution envisages protruding parts, terraces, loggias, and balconies shifted relative to one another.
According to the publication, the construction will be carried out by a company associated with the former co-owner of "Donstroy", Maksim Blazhko, and structures of Promsvyazbank.
The report notes that Europe's tallest building is currently the 462-meter "Lakhta Center" in Saint Petersburg. The new project in Moscow is expected to set a record specifically in the category of residential buildings.
Additionally, in August, Russia's "Glavgosekspertiza" agency issued a positive conclusion on the project documentation for "Lakhta Center - 2". The height of the second tower of the complex is planned to be 703 meters.
