Entrepreneurs who open an Uzbek restaurant abroad can get up to 50 percent of their expenses reimbursed

Entrepreneurs registered in Uzbekistan can receive up to 50 percent of their expenses related to establishing an Uzbek national cuisine restaurant abroad as a state subsidy.

For this purpose, the Tourism Committee provides a free service through the my.gov.uz portal.

To receive the subsidy, documents confirming the restaurant's registration abroad, proof of ownership or usage rights to the building, compliance with sanitary and fire safety requirements, expenses incurred, as well as documents confirming product delivery from Uzbekistan, if necessary, must be submitted. In addition, photographs showing the interior and exterior appearance of the restaurant are also required.

An application submitted via my.gov.uz will be reviewed within 18 working days, and upon a positive decision, the subsidy funds will be transferred to the entrepreneur's bank account within 7 working days. If deficiencies are identified in the application, they can be corrected and the documents resubmitted.

The legal basis cited for this is the Cabinet of Ministers' Resolution No. 482 of September 9, 2026, "On measures to support local entrepreneurs who promote the activities of hotels, public catering enterprises, and restaurants, as well as establish restaurants specializing in Uzbek national cuisine abroad." However, the resolution has not been published in the National Database of Legislation.
