Entrepreneurs may be exempted from the remaining part of a fine by paying 50 percent of it

In today's session, deputies of the Legislative Chamber adopted in the third reading a draft law aimed at easing the procedure for applying financial fines and sent it to the Senate.

According to the document, if entrepreneurs voluntarily pay 50 percent of the fine within one month from the date of service of the decision on imposing the fine, they may be exempted from paying the remaining part.

Additionally, the possibility of paying the fine in installments over a period of 6 months is also provided for.

If the decision on the fine is canceled or declared invalid, the illegally collected funds will be refunded. In the event of a delay in the refund, a procedure will be introduced to pay interest in the amount of one three-hundredth of the Central Bank's main rate.

For now, these rules are provided for in the draft law, but have not yet entered into force.
