Eco-police officers attacked in Qashqadaryo

In the Qashqadaryo region, eco-police officers faced resistance during an ecological control operation. In one of the incidents, the head of the Guzar District Department of Ecology and Climate Change was taken to the hospital in an unconscious state.

It is reported that on September 11, Bahrom Toshpolatov, the head of the Guzar District Department of the Main Department of Ecology and Climate Change of Qashqadaryo Region, was delivered to the regional scientific center of emergency medical care in an unconscious state.

According to preliminary data, Bahrom Toshpolatov was attacked by violators during a raid to detect illegal sand and gravel extraction in the Qashqadaryo River flowing through the territory of the "Qovchin" neighborhood citizens' gathering (MFY) in the Guzar district.

One of the citizens found him unconscious in the area and took him to the hospital. Currently, he is receiving the necessary medical assistance at the medical institution.

Additionally, on the night of September 6 to September 7, eco-police inspectors conducted an ecological control raid in the territory of Arab village of the "Qovchin" MFY in the Guzar district.

During the raid, illegal sand and gravel extraction was detected in the protected area of the Qashqadaryo River. When the eco-police officers stopped the violation and were taking the machinery to the impound lot, the violators actively resisted them.

In particular, individuals arriving in a black Kia K5 without license plates, as well as Lacetti and Cobalt cars with license plates 70 K 413 AA, blocked the road and inflicted bodily injuries on one of the inspectors. Furthermore, they hijacked the machinery that was being taken to the impound lot.

A pre-investigation inquiry into these two incidents is being conducted by the Guzar District Prosecutor's Office and the operational-investigative group of the Department of Internal Affairs.
