Driver arrested for dragging traffic police officer in Samarkand

A driver who dragged a traffic police officer in his car in Samarkand was arrested. The press service of the Traffic Police reported this.
According to the report, on August 5, a traffic police officer on duty on Registan Street stopped a Spark car that was driving without following a traffic sign. When the officer asked the driver to show his documents, the driver did not comply with his lawful request.
After that, when the traffic police inspector repeatedly asked for documents and held out his hand, the driver deliberately closed the window, drove the car and dragged the officer for a certain distance.
As a result of the conducted rapid search measures, this vehicle and its driver were found and detained.
The Samarkand City Prosecutor's Office has initiated a criminal case under Article 219 of the Criminal Code (resistance to a representative of the authorities or a person performing his civil duty) and is conducting investigative actions. The driver was taken into custody in accordance with the procedural procedure.
