In Surkhandarya, while a driver was being detained, his relatives attacked traffic police officers.

During the arrest, the offender's relatives and neighbor resisted and injured two officers. A criminal case has been opened.

In the Surkhandarya region, traffic police officers were attacked by relatives of a driver they were attempting to detain.

According to the press service of the Surkhandarya Region Department of Internal Affairs, the incident occurred on August 9 in the Angorsky district. The driver of a Damas, T.U., born in 1987, noticed the traffic police patrol and abruptly changed his route.

Traffic police officers began pursuing him. They managed to stop the driver near a residential building in the Ilgor mahalla as he attempted to flee. He smelled strongly of alcohol, leading them to send him for a medical examination. However, at that moment, the driver's brothers, his wife, and a neighbor actively obstructed the officers, resisting and causing bodily harm.

A criminal case has been opened under Part 2 of Article 219 of the Criminal Code. An internal investigation has also been launched to assess the actions of the traffic police officers.
