Dollar exchange rate in Uzbekistan rises after 5-day decline

The value of the dollar in Uzbekistan has risen again after a 5-day decline.

According to the Central Bank's new exchange rates of foreign currencies against the Uzbek soum, effective from August 19:

* The dollar increased by 52.28 soums, amounting to 11,847.16 soums.

* The euro increased by 157.81 soums, reaching 13,843.41 soums.

* The ruble also appreciated by 2.77 soums, amounting to 141.44 soums.

Recall that earlier the dollar exchange rate in Uzbekistan fell from 11,800 soums to 11,794.88 soums.
