Dismissed employees in Uzbekistan will be able to receive average earnings for the third month

The Government of Uzbekistan has approved a new procedure for financial support of citizens who have lost their jobs. Now, it is possible to apply for the average monthly earnings for the third month after dismissal through the Single Portal of Interactive Public Services (my.gov.uz / EPIGU).

The relevant norms are established by the resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers dated September 28.

To receive compensation, a dismissed employee must submit an application on the EPIGU within 30 calendar days from the date of termination of the employment contract and register as a job seeker. This public service is provided free of charge.

After verifying the information, the district employment agency will issue an electronic certificate confirming the status. Based on this document, the former employer is obliged to pay the employee their average earnings for the third month.

The application for the service must be made within 30 calendar days from the date of termination of the employment contract. Applications submitted after this deadline will not be considered.

In addition, in Uzbekistan, certain categories of dismissed employees may be granted an early old-age pension if they do not find suitable work within three months. This right is provided for men aged 58 to 60 with a work experience of at least 25 years, and women aged 53 to 55 with an experience of at least 20 years.
