A decrease in the heat is forecast for Uzbekistan. Meteorologists predict temperatures will drop to 30 degrees Celsius.
Uzbekistan, Tashkent – Podrobno.uz News Agency.
After a period of sultry weather, a slight drop in temperatures is expected in Uzbekistan. From August 16th to 17th, cooler weather will settle in the northern regions of the country, and by August 17th, residents of other regions will also experience a decrease in the heat.
Climatologist Erkin Abdulakhatov reported that a mass of cold air will begin to flow into Uzbekistan from the northwest on Sunday and Monday. This will primarily affect Karakalpakstan and the Khorezm region: on August 16th and 17th, temperatures there will fluctuate between 30-35 degrees Celsius.
By August 17th, temperatures will also drop in other parts of the republic. Temperatures will drop by 2-3 degrees compared to this week.
However, a significant cold snap is not expected across the country: the most pronounced changes in weather conditions will be observed in the north.
It was previously reported that July 2026 was significantly hotter than usual in Uzbekistan. Some regions of the country recorded new absolute maximum temperatures, and in desert zones, temperatures reached almost 50 degrees Celsius.
