Companies to be established at Uzbekistan's technical colleges to launch student startups

State technical colleges in Uzbekistan have been authorized to establish special spin-off companies to launch and commercialize promising student projects. Grants of up to 1 billion soums will be available for the implementation of a single startup.

These enterprises will be able to develop new products and technologies based on students' ideas. They will be permitted to use vacant premises of the technical colleges, which can be leased for a period of up to five years.

By the end of 2026, at least one such enterprise must be opened in each region, Karakalpakstan, and Tashkent. Within a month, the Agency for Professional Education will identify the technical colleges where the first spin-off companies will be established.
