Chorsu Manar: the first stone in the foundation of the future and a message to descendants

On October 19, 2026, a groundbreaking ceremony for the Chorsu Manar multifunctional complex took place in the historic center of Tashkent. A symbolic event was the placement of a time capsule containing a message to the residents of the capital in 2126 into the foundation of the future building.

Chorsu Manar: first stone in the foundation of the future and a message to descendants

At the construction site where the famous Chorsu Hotel was previously located, representatives of MANAR Development gathered to realize one of the capital's largest development projects. As part of the ceremony, the company's head, Davron Fayzimatov, delivered a speech about the project's significance for the city, its heritage, and the current generation's responsibility to future ones.

The laying of a time capsule occupied a special place in the ceremony. Inside, they placed a letter prepared in three languages — Uzbek, Russian, and English. It is addressed to those who will live in Tashkent exactly one hundred years from now.

"We understand that we are building not just a new project. This is a place with history, memory, and a special significance for Tashkent. In a hundred years, you will live in a different world, with new technologies and opportunities. We do not know what it will become, but we hope that the main thing will remain unchanged: people will strive, create, develop, and care for their loved ones, leaving behind something unique. And we want to believe that our project will become a part of the city's history and a source of pride for the people of the future..."

— says the letter, which Davron Fayzimatov read to the ceremony participants.

The main idea of this message is the continuity of generations and the desire to leave behind not just buildings, but something more: a space capable of becoming part of the city's history and the lives of its residents. The choice of location for such an address is particularly symbolic. For decades, the Chorsu Hotel was one of the architectural landmarks of old Tashkent. Now, a new chapter of urban history begins here.

The Chorsu Manar project provides for the creation of a modern multifunctional complex with a total area of more than 100 thousand square meters. It will include residential spaces, a business center, shopping galleries, public areas, and international-level hotel infrastructure.

One of the key elements of the project will be a hotel complex under the Radisson brand. Special attention is paid to the integration of the new space into the historical environment of Chorsu — one of the oldest and most recognizable districts of the capital. The concept of Chorsu Manar is based on a combination of the traditional identity of the place with modern requirements for architecture, comfort, and urban infrastructure.
