Chinese specialists operated on 30 children in Khorezm free of charge

A medical mission of specialists from China took place in the Khorezm region, during which 68 children underwent diagnostics and 30 patients received free surgical treatment.

The Chinese delegation included 18 doctors and representatives from the Children's Hospital of Fudan University, Sir Run Run Shaw Hospital, the Future Smile Foundation, and Meihao Tuoxin Biotechnology Co., Ltd.

Surgical interventions on the children were performed at the regional multidisciplinary children's medical center. The work was carried out in the fields of urology, maxillofacial, plastic, orthopedic, and general surgery.

In addition to medical assistance, the Chinese specialists conducted practical training for doctors from regional and district medical institutions. As technical support, a video laryngoscope was donated to the medical center.

The cooperation is being implemented under a memorandum between the Ministry of Health of Uzbekistan and the Future Smile Foundation. Within the framework of this partnership, Uzbek specialists undergo training in China, and Chinese doctors regularly visit Uzbekistan to diagnose and perform surgeries on children.

During the current visit, the Chinese delegation also visited the Samarkand and Fergana regions. A preliminary agreement was reached with the Fergana Regional Multidisciplinary Children's Hospital to perform surgical operations on children in the first half of 2027.

In addition, representatives of the Chinese company Meihao Tuoxin Biotechnology Co., Ltd. discussed with the Agency for the Development of the Medical and Pharmaceutical Industry the prospects of launching the production of medical equipment and medical-cosmetic products in Uzbekistan.
