Chinese companies show interest in developing pharmaceutical projects in Uzbekistan
Abdulla Azizov, Director of the Agency for the Development of the Medical and Pharmaceutical Sector, held a meeting with representatives of Chinese companies led by Zhang Xun. The meeting focused on the prospects of expanding cooperation between Uzbekistan and China in the pharmaceutical and medical fields.
The parties reviewed joint projects, issues of attracting investment, and new areas of mutually beneficial cooperation.
During the meeting, it was noted that Uzbekistan is creating conditions to attract foreign investment, develop new production capacities in the pharmaceutical industry, and localize manufactured products.
Special attention was paid to the possibilities of introducing modern technologies and increasing the export potential of pharmaceutical production.
Representatives of the parties also exchanged views on expanding cooperation in the areas of investment, production, and technology transfer. Among the topics discussed were product localization and the entry of enterprises into international markets.
Following the meeting, an agreement was reached on the implementation of promising initiatives based on specific projects.
The parties also agreed to continue practical cooperation between Uzbek and Chinese companies in the medical and pharmaceutical sectors.
