Chinese companies are exploring investment opportunities in Uzbekistan's cosmetics industry

Chinese company Xi’an Giant Biogene Technology is considering options for cooperation with Uzbekistan in the cosmetics industry. Issues of entering the local market and launching production were discussed at a meeting between Deputy Chairperson of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan Shahlo Ibrahimova and a delegation of the company led by President Fan Juan.

The talks were also attended by representatives of the Chinese cosmetics industry, investors, and business circles.

The parties discussed the potential of Uzbekistan's cosmetics market and possible areas of joint work.

Among the priorities identified were the creation of local production facilities, the manufacturing of import-substituting products, the attraction of Chinese investments, and the implementation of modern technologies.

The Chamber of Commerce and Industry expressed its readiness to assist foreign companies in finding Uzbek partners, preparing joint investment projects, and organizing B2B business meetings. The possibility of placing production facilities in the country's regions was also discussed.

Following the meeting, the participants agreed to continue negotiations, jointly study investment opportunities, and develop promising projects in the cosmetics industry.

Specific investment amounts, project implementation timelines, and parameters of potential production facilities have not been specified.
