China accounted for every third dollar of Uzbekistan's imports

China accounted for more than 32% of all imports to Uzbekistan in January–July 2026. The volume of supplies from the PRC reached $9.6 billion — almost twice as much as from Russia.

In January–July 2026, according to data from the National Statistics Committee, Uzbekistan imported goods and services worth $29.6 billion, which is 17.8% more than in the same period last year. The country's import geography covered more than 160 states.

China once again became the main supplier. It accounted for $9.6 billion, or about 32.4% of all Uzbek imports. In other words, approximately every third dollar spent by Uzbekistan on imports went to Chinese goods and services.

For comparison, imports from Russia amounted to $5.3 billion — about 17.9% of the total volume. Thus, supplies from China were approximately $4.3 billion greater than from Russia.

The three largest suppliers — China, Russia, and Kazakhstan — provided about 58.4% of the country's total imports. At the same time, the Chinese direction is noticeably ahead of both the Russian and Kazakh directions.

The difference with other countries is particularly telling. After China and Russia, third place is held by Kazakhstan with $2.4 billion. Imports from it are approximately four times less than from China. Supplies from Turkey and South Korea amounted to just over $1 billion each.

As a result, China remains not just the largest single source of import supplies, but the key direction of Uzbekistan's foreign trade in terms of imports.
