Certificate for academic leave - 500 dollars: Doctor detained in Bukhara

In the Gijduvon district of the Bukhara region, a doctor was detained on suspicion of taking $500 in exchange for preparing a medical certificate to obtain an academic leave of absence.

According to information provided by the Department under the Prosecutor General's Office, an operational event was conducted in cooperation with its Gijduvon district branch and officers from other law enforcement agencies.

U.S., a doctor at a family polyclinic in the district, promised to prepare a medical certificate for citizen Sh.R. to obtain academic leave from their place of study. He stated that he would accomplish this through his acquaintances working in high positions at the polyclinic.

According to the report, the doctor was caught red-handed while receiving 500 US dollars in exchange for this service.

A criminal case has been initiated regarding the situation under the relevant articles of the Criminal Code. Investigative actions are ongoing.
