A suspect in a fraudulent scheme involving admission to a medical school was detained in the Bukhara region.
In the Karakul district of the Bukhara region, officers of the Department for Combating Economic Crimes under the Prosecutor General's Office of the Republic of Uzbekistan, in cooperation with other law enforcement agencies, detained citizen Kh. T. during an operational operation.
A man suspected of fraud related to admission to a medical university was arrested in the Bukhara region.
According to the investigation, the suspect, having gained the trust of a citizen named D.O., offered to obtain false documents confirming his first- to third-year enrollment at a higher educational institution in Kazakhstan for 26 million soums.
Furthermore, according to investigators, he promised, using connections to high-ranking acquaintances, to arrange a transfer to the fourth year of the medical faculty of the Bukhara Innovative University of Education and Medicine.
The suspect was caught red-handed while receiving the agreed-upon sum.
A criminal case has been opened for this incident under Articles 25, 168 (fraud) and 28, 211 (bribery) of the Criminal Code.
Investigative actions are currently underway.
