Centrum Air launches direct flights from Tashkent to Sri Lanka

Centrum Air is opening a new international destination: starting October 28, 2026, regular direct flights will launch from Tashkent to Mattala Rajapaksa International Airport (Hambantota, code HRI) in the south of Sri Lanka.

Flights will operate twice a week — on Wednesdays and Saturdays — until the end of March 2027, using new, comfortable Airbus A320 family aircraft.

Sri Lanka is an island where winter turns into an endless summer. From November to April, the dry season begins on the southern coast. During this time, the weather remains warm and sunny at around +30 °C, and the ocean warms up to +28 °C. This is the perfect period for surfing: the smooth waves in Weligama and Hiriketiya are suitable for both beginners and experienced riders. Those who prefer a relaxing holiday will enjoy the golden beaches surrounded by coconut palms, fresh seafood, and the famous Ceylon tea straight from the plantations.
