Cases of selling medicines at prices higher than established ones detected in Uzbekistan
In Uzbekistan, cases of selling medicines at prices several times higher than those established have been detected, the Committee for Competition Development and Consumer Protection reported. In some cases, the difference reached almost sixfold. The violations were uncovered during "mystery shopper" operations.

In the pharmacy of "SHUNQORLAR" LLC, the drug "POLIMIK® blisters No. 10 (1x10)" was sold for 70,000 soums, while the established price was 12,837.18 soums, which is 5.5 times more expensive than the established cost. The drug "CONVULEX® Oral drops 300 mg/ml" was sold for 395,000 soums, while the established price was 66,481 soums — almost six times higher than the established cost.
In the pharmacy of "MUNO FARM" LLC in the Karakamish 2/5 residential area, the drug "STIMULOTON Coated tablets 50 mg, blisters No. 30 (3x10)" was offered for 295,000 soums, while the established price was 50,666.17 soums — also almost six times more expensive.
In the pharmacies of "CITY FARM" LLC, the drug "BACTAMED 3.5 ml ampoules" was sold for 63,000 soums, while the established price was 18,849.43 soums — 3.3 times higher. In addition, the sale of "NO-SPA® 40 mg/2 ml ampoules No. 25" at a price higher than established was detected.
In the pharmacy of "HOSIL FARM" LLC, the drug "Lantus® SOLOSTAR® 100 U/ml 3 ml No. 5 (1x5)" was sold for 190,000 soums. At the same time, the established price, taking into account the 20% markup, was 115,173.3 soums. The drug "SLIDERON Tablets 16, blisters No. 20 (2x10)" was sold for 349,000 soums, while the established price was 115,677.1 soums — approximately three times more expensive.
In the pharmacy of "AMIR FARM TRADE" LLC, "BACTAMED 0.5% 3.5 ml ampoules" was sold for 32,000 soums, while the established price was 18,849.43 soums. Thus, the markup was 100% instead of the permitted 20%.
In the pharmacy of "FERUZA NUR MED" LLC, "POLIMIK® blisters No. 10 (1x10)" was sold for 62,000 soums, while the established price was 12,837.18 soums — almost five times more expensive.
The sale of "NO-SPA® 40 mg/2 ml ampoules No. 25" at a price higher than established was also detected in the pharmacies of "LEADER PHARMGROUP" PE, "PHARM S GOLDEN" LLC, and "RUSLAN BUYUK FARM" LLC.
Based on the identified facts, the agency issued relevant instructions in accordance with the established procedure. In addition, a request was sent to the authorized body to consider the matter regarding compliance with licensing requirements.
The Committee stated that it will continue to systematically conduct "mystery shopper" activities to monitor compliance with established prices for medicines.
