Calligraphers from around the world will create a unique Quran in Uzbekistan.

**Uzbekistan will become the site of the creation of a unique Quran by calligraphers from all over the world**

On August 26, Tashkent will host an international calligraphy competition to create a one-of-a-kind handwritten Quran. This project aims to unite the diverse calligraphy traditions represented by various countries and schools of the Islamic world.

Khabibullo Solih, head of the School of Calligraphy at the Center for Islamic Civilization, will present a project entitled "The World Quran: From the Tradition of Calligraphy to the Heritage of the Future."

In addition, participants will be shown the projects "114 Qurans: 114 Masterpieces of Calligraphy from the Islamic World" and "The Kattalangar Quran: Truth and Legends." Special attention will be given to the potential of artificial intelligence in deciphering ancient manuscripts.

Samarkand has also been awarded the status of World City of Crafts. The corresponding certificate was presented by the President of the World Crafts Council, Saad Hani al-Qaddoumi.
