By the end of the year, the export of products and services of the Bukhara Oil Refinery is intended to reach 116 million dollars
President Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited the Bukhara Oil Refinery in the Karaulbazar district, where he got acquainted with the modernization project of one of the largest fuel producers in the republic.
Today, more than 3.2 thousand specialists work at the enterprise. Over the 9 months of this year, the plant produced 1.36 million tons of petroleum products for a total amount of 12.1 trillion soums, and the volume of exports of products and services amounted to 99.5 million dollars, with a plan to bring this indicator to 116 million dollars by the end of the year.
The capacity upgrade project presented to the head of state, with a total cost of 328 million dollars, is aimed at increasing raw material processing volumes and expanding the production of high-octane gasoline. As part of the initiative, the installation of equipment for hydrotreating, which reduces the content of sulfur and other impurities, as well as naphtha isomerization, which increases the octane rating of fuel from light oil fractions, is provided for. The introduction of these technologies will allow for an increase in the output of AI-92 and AI-95 gasoline grades that comply with the Euro-5 environmental standard.
In addition, the modernization provides for the improvement of processes for separating raw materials into fractions and deep processing of heavy residues. As a result, the annual capacity of the enterprise will increase by another 2.5 million tons and reach 5 million tons, which will strengthen the supply of the domestic market and make it possible to increase export deliveries.
At the end of the visit, Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a conversation with representatives of foreign companies participating in the project, and also instructed to ensure compliance with deadlines and quality standards when carrying out work, synchronize new equipment with existing lines, and maintain uninterrupted operation of the plant.
Earlier, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited the "Tekhnochem" enterprise in the Bukhara district, where he got acquainted with the activities of the only specialized petrochemical cluster in the republic and plans for its further development.
