"Businesswoman – 2026": UzLiDeP supports women's entrepreneurship
In the first — mahalla stage of the competition, 2,017 mahallas in the region were covered, with over 10,000 businesswomen and initiative-taking women participating. During this process, many talented women who established their own businesses, implemented new projects, and created jobs for their fellow villagers were identified. At the regional stage, female entrepreneurs, artisans, and farmers demonstrated their activities, achieved results, and promising projects, and exchanged experiences with each other.
The significance of the competition lies in the fact that, along with revealing the entrepreneurial potential of women and properly recognizing their hard work and initiatives, it also creates broad opportunities for putting new ideas into practice. Such projects are particularly important in issues such as ensuring women's employment, increasing family income, developing home-based work and handicrafts, and creating new jobs in mahallas.
One of the competition participants, Rano Botaboeva, emphasized that during her career she has provided employment for more than 70 women and created opportunities for over 30 more women to earn an income at home through home-based work. She is also paying special attention to supporting mothers raising children with disabilities. In her opinion, the conditions and opportunities created by our state for the development of women's entrepreneurship allow many women to realize their potential and contribute not only to their own families, but also to the well-being of society.
At the end of the event, active participants of the competition were awarded certificates of appreciation and valuable gifts from the party. Most importantly, through the "Businesswoman – 2026" competition, the work of women is valued, their new initiatives are encouraged, and advanced experiences are widely popularized. This serves to further develop women's entrepreneurship in the regions, ensure women's employment, and increase the economic potential of the mahalla.
