Salaries up, new cars and housing: Sadyr Japarov announced large-scale changes in the Kyrgyz police

**Betting on the Law Enforcement Authorities**

Kyrgyzstan is preparing for a new stage of modernization of the internal affairs bodies. President Sadyr Japarov announced an increase in salaries for police officers, higher pensions for veterans, an update of the service fleet, and the expansion of the Ministry of Internal Affairs' infrastructure. These steps, it is noted, should strengthen the department's personnel potential and improve service conditions.

Speaking at a solemn event dedicated to the 102nd anniversary of the Kyrgyz police, the head of state emphasized the special responsibility of law enforcement officers to society. According to the president, service in the police requires not only professional knowledge and physical training, but also personal discipline, integrity, endurance, and readiness to act in difficult circumstances. Sadyr Japarov noted that the profession of a police officer is far from accessible to everyone.

One of the key announcements was the upcoming increase in pay. Starting December 1, police officers will begin receiving increased salaries. In parallel, an increase in pension payments for veterans of the internal affairs bodies is provided.

These social measures are aimed at increasing the attractiveness of the service, strengthening personnel stability, and supporting employees who ensure public safety on a daily basis.

A separate emphasis was placed on the technical re-equipment of the department. In honor of the 102nd anniversary of the Kyrgyz police, 102 new service vehicles will be handed over to the Ministry of Internal Affairs. Updating the fleet should expand the operational capabilities of units, especially in the regions, where the mobility of officers is of great importance.

Serious changes will also affect the infrastructure of the law enforcement system. Across Kyrgyzstan, it is planned to open 42 new buildings for territorial internal affairs bodies. This will make it possible to improve working conditions for personnel and create a more modern material base for serving the population.

Another area of state support remains providing officers with their own housing. This work will continue through the State Mortgage Company, which provides opportunities to purchase real estate on preferential terms.

At the same time, the president stressed that increasing funding, constructing new facilities, and purchasing modern equipment do not in themselves guarantee an increase in the efficiency of the law enforcement system. According to him, the professionalism of employees, compliance with official discipline, and a responsible attitude toward citizens are of decisive importance.

Thus, the further development of the Kyrgyz police involves a combination of material updating, social support, and higher requirements for the quality of service. The main indicator of the effectiveness of these changes will be the ability of the internal affairs bodies to ensure public safety and strengthen public trust.
