Based on the relevant order of the Minister of Internal Affairs, Major General Bekmurod Abdullayev was appointed to the position of head of the Chilonzor District Department of Internal Affairs. The press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs confirmed this information to "Daryo".

He was born in 1975. In 1997, he graduated from the Samarkand Higher Military Automobile and Engineering Command School of the Ministry of Defense, and in 2009, from Namangan State University.

Abdullayev served as the first deputy commander of the National Guard in 2020–2021. From 2021 to 2025, he was the Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs — Chief of the Public Safety Service.

On November 3, 2025, he was dismissed from his post. Later, he was arrested on suspicion of embezzlement of state property, abuse of official power, and other circumstances.

In April 2026, it was reported that the former deputy minister Bekmurod Abdullayev and the former head of the Main Directorate for the Execution of Punishments, Colonel Rustam Tursunov, were allegedly released.

According to sources, in addition to Bekmurod Abdullayev and Rustam Tursunov, 7 officials associated with them were also released on April 15. It was noted that they compensated for the damage caused.
