A new head has been appointed to the Khorezm Region Internal Affairs Department

Oybek Abdukarimovich Kaimkhodjayev has been appointed to the position of Head of the Internal Affairs Department of Khorezm Region.

He has been working in the internal affairs bodies system for many years.

According to information from open sources, before becoming the head of the Yashnabad District Coordination Department of Internal Affairs Activities, Kaimkhodjayev worked as the deputy head of the same department for operational work.

In June 2021, Lieutenant Colonel Oybek Kaimkhodjayev was appointed Head of the Coordination Department of Internal Affairs Activities of Yashnabad District, Tashkent City.

Since then, he had been leading the internal affairs bodies of this district. In particular, in an official announcement published by the Yashnabad District Khokimiyat in April 2025, Oybek Kaimkhodjayev was also mentioned as the head of the district Coordination Department of Internal Affairs Activities.

Prior to the new appointment, the Internal Affairs Department of Khorezm Region was headed by Colonel Abdumajid Shermukhamedov. In an official announcement by the Ministry of Internal Affairs published on July 15, 2026, Shermukhamedov was indicated as the head of the Khorezm Region Internal Affairs Department.

The 2021 appointments of Oybek Kaimkhodjayev and Abdumajid Shermukhamedov were also announced at the same time. Back then, Shermukhamedov was appointed as the acting head of the Yunusabad District Coordination Department of Internal Affairs Activities, while Kaimkhodjayev was appointed as the head of the Yashnabad District Coordination Department of Internal Affairs Activities.

Now, Lieutenant Colonel Oybek Kaimkhodjayev will head the Internal Affairs Department of Khorezm Region.
