Beekeeping to be established in another 100 households in Nukus

Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited the Diyqan arna neighborhood in the Nukus district and familiarized himself with the conditions created for the population. This was reported by the president's press service.

More than a thousand families, totaling over 3.6 thousand residents, live in the area. The "Smart Mahalla" system introduced here serves to develop entrepreneurship in the neighborhood by enabling the rapid resolution of residents' appeals, accurate maintenance of demographic data, and electronic monitoring of the infrastructure status.

Special attention is also paid to improving social infrastructure. Within the framework of the investment program, a modern kindergarten with 60 places was put into operation at a cost of 4.5 billion soums. Additionally, 1 billion soums were allocated from the local budget to build football and workout fields.

In increasing the population's income, beekeeping has been designated as the main direction based on the "One Neighborhood — One Product" principle. Currently, bees are kept in more than 20 households in the neighborhood. Up to 1 ton of honey per year is harvested from 50-100 beehives in a single household, generating income.

The head of state visited the home of Bakhtiyor Jubayev, a resident of the neighborhood, and familiarized himself with the honey processing workshop and the process of making beehives.

Here, 2 tons of processed honey products are sold in one season, generating a profit of around 200 million soums per year. In the workshop, more than 250 beehives are produced annually, bringing in an additional income of up to 80 million soums.

By the end of the year, the Beekeepers Association plans to establish beekeeping on a cooperative basis in another 100 households. This will serve to provide many more families with a stable source of income.

The President held a warm conversation with local activists, elders, and youth there.

It was emphasized that the development of the Aral Sea region and raising the living standards of the population are among the priority directions of state policy. It was noted that the scale of such auspicious work started in the neighborhoods will be expanded, and the pace of their implementation will be further accelerated.
