Bayern Munich win German Super Cup, beat Borussia Dortmund

The 2026 German Super Cup match between Borussia Dortmund and Bayern Munich has concluded. The Munich club won the match 2-1 at the Signal Iduna Park stadium.

In the 28th minute of the match, Bayern defender Nathaniel Braun opened the scoring. Team winger Michael Oliseh doubled his team's lead in the 45th + 1st minute. Borussia striker Fabio Silva reduced the score in the 75th minute. Thus, the match ended with a 2-1 victory for the guests, and Bayern won the German Super Cup for the 12th time in its history.

In the 90th minute, Dortmund defender Rami Bensebaini received a red card and was sent off.

Last season, Bayern Munich won the German championship with 89 points. They also won the German Cup. Borussia Dortmund, as the country's vice-champion, participated in the Super Cup.

It should be noted that Bayern Munich also won the 2025 German Super Cup. The Munich club defeated Stuttgart 2-1 in that match.
