Barcelona have found a suitable candidate to replace Julian Alvarez

Barcelona find alternative to Julian Alvarez

Barcelona sporting director Deco met with Inter Milan striker Lautaro Martinez's agent last week. According to journalist Gerard Romero, the meeting discussed the possibility of the Argentine player moving to the Catalan club.

Barcelona are considering Martinez as one of the main candidates if Julian Alvarez's transfer from Atletico Madrid fails. The Catalans are reportedly ready to start negotiations with Inter. Martinez has been linked with Barcelona on several occasions, but the team's current need for a central striker makes this transfer more likely.

The 28-year-old forward made 41 appearances in all competitions last season, scoring 22 goals and providing 6 assists. Lautaro's current contract with Milan runs until the summer of 2029. According to the Transfermarkt portal, the current market value of the Argentine player is 85 million euros.
