Liverpool to loan Barcelona captain Ronald Araujo

Liverpool have reached an agreement to loan Barcelona defender and captain Ronald Araujo, according to insider Fabrizio Romano on his X social media page.

According to Romano, the Catalans' sporting director Deco has confirmed a verbal agreement between the two clubs.

Recall that Ronald Araujo has been playing for Barcelona's main team since 2020. Last season, the Uruguayan defender played in 38 matches in all competitions and scored 4 goals.

However, the player has been out of action for a long time during the season due to mental problems. According to Transfermarkt, Araujo's current market value is 20 million euros.

Liverpool have previously offered PSG around €115m for winger Bradley Barcolla. After days of negotiations, the English Premier League club have made a clear offer.

However, Liverpool are expected to reject the offer. However, the player himself is ready to leave the Paris club. According to Transfermarkt, the 23-year-old is valued at €90m.
