Barcelona announces the transfer of Joao Cancelo

The Catalan football club Barcelona announced on its official website that it has transferred Portuguese winger Joao Cancelo. Before that, the 32-year-old player belonged to the Saudi Arabian club Al-Hilol.

Cancelo signed a three-year contract with Barcelona, which is valid until the summer of 2029.

It is worth noting that Cancelo joined Barcelona on loan until the end of the season in January 2026. The Portuguese player also played for the Catalans in the 2023/24 season.

In total, Cancelo played in 65 matches for Barcelona in all competitions, scoring 6 goals and providing 9 assists.

Cancelo's contract with Al-Hilol was scheduled to expire in 2027. However, according to reports, the parties have agreed to terminate the agreement early.
