Ayubxon Yunusov became Uzbekistan's ambassador to Syria
The Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Syria (with residence in Kuwait City), Ayubkhon Yunusov, presented copies of his credentials to the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the country. During the meeting, the parties emphasized their readiness to develop relations through political dialogue, high-level and top-level visits, and other areas of mutual interest.

Uzbekistan's Ambassador to Syria (with residence in Al Kuwait), Ayubxon Yunusov, has presented copies of his credentials to the country's Minister of Foreign Affairs, Assad Hasan al-Shaibani, it is reported.
The parties exchanged views on priority areas of bilateral relations. In particular, they discussed the establishment of the Uzbekistan-Syria intergovernmental committee on trade and economic cooperation, the creation of a mechanism for political consultations between the ministries of foreign affairs of the two countries, and the implementation of other joint events.
During the meeting, the Syrian minister emphasized that he attaches great importance to developing relations with Central Asian countries, particularly with Uzbekistan.
Assad al-Shaibani noted that the Syrian side highly appreciates the assistance and support provided by Uzbekistan in recent years and expressed readiness to further activate relations between the two countries.
At the end of the meeting, the parties emphasized their readiness to further develop Uzbekistan-Syria relations through political dialogue, mutual visits at high and highest levels, trade and economic cooperation, and other mutually beneficial areas.
As a reminder, Ayubxon Yunusov began his duties as Uzbekistan's Ambassador to Kuwait on February 6, 2024. He has also been serving as the country's Ambassador to Iraq since October 10, 2025.
