Audi has set a new record for range among electric vehicles

The Audi A6 e-tron electric vehicle has set a record for driving range on a single charge. The Audi A6 Sportback e-tron covered a distance of 1,338 km without recharging. This is significantly more than the maximum declared range of 776 km for this model.

Audi has set a new record for driving range among electric vehicles. European Rally Champion Mikołaj Marczyk covered a distance of 1,338 km on a single charge of the Audi A6 Sportback e-tron's battery. The average energy consumption was 7.09 kWh per 100 km.

For comparison, the declared range of this model in the combined cycle is between 681 and 776 km. Marczyk stated that the test drive took place on public roads across Poland, sometimes during rush hour and in traffic jams.

The record-breaking drive used the A6 Sportback e-tron Performance version, which has a single electric motor on the rear axle. It produces 362 horsepower and 565 Nm of torque. The car accelerates to 100 km/h in 5.4 seconds, and its top speed is 210 km/h.

The previous record was set in 2025 by the Lucid Air Grand Touring, which covered a distance of 1,205 km.

Thanks to this result, Marczyk has become a Guinness World Record holder for both internal combustion engine and electric powertrain vehicles. In 2025, he set a record for the maximum distance traveled on a single tank of fuel in a Skoda Superb. Back then, he managed to cover 2,831 km, with an average fuel consumption of 2.6 liters per 100 km.
