At Tashkent airport, an attempt was made to illegally smuggle 8 iPhone 18s and 6 iPhone 17s.

At Tashkent airport, three passengers attempted to secretly import 14 new iPhones with a total value of 227 million soums. The phones were discovered on passengers arriving from Dubai between September 20 and 22.

According to the customs service, the seized devices included eight iPhone 18s and six iPhone 17s. The passengers did not declare these phones either during oral questioning or in their passenger customs declarations.

Under current regulations, individuals are allowed to import no more than two mobile devices for personal use. The phones must be declared in the passenger customs declaration.

Since the beginning of the year, the "Tashkent-AERO" customs post has prevented the illegal import of 162 mobile devices with a total value of 7.8 billion soums.

Investigations into the identified cases are ongoing.
