A passenger from Dubai attempted to illegally import gold and jewelry worth 1.3 billion soums into Tashkent

A passenger on a Dubai–Tashkent flight attempted to bring a large shipment of jewelry and gold bars across the border without declaring them. The total value of the discovered items amounted to 1.293 billion soums.

During a baggage inspection at the "Tashkent-AERO" customs post, 141 pieces of jewelry with a total weight of 921.37 grams, as well as three gold bars, were detected.

In addition, 120 boxes of tobacco products without excise stamps and 90 units of nicotine snus were found in the baggage.
