As part of joint exercises
The Kazakh army has headed to Russia. This was reported by the Ministry of Defense of the republic. According to the department, personnel and military equipment of the Kazakh army are moving to Russia to participate in CSTO exercises.
"In the period from September 24 to October 3 of this year, the CSTO exercises 'Interaction-2026', 'Search-2026', and 'Echelon-2026' are scheduled to be held on the territory of the Russian Federation. As part of the preparation and conduct of the exercises, from September 21 to October 5, the planned movement of military equipment and personnel by rail transport is being carried out through the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the Misyash station (Chelyabinsk Region, Russia) and back," the Ministry of Defense said in a statement.
During the exercises, field training will take place, where skills in regrouping troops, command and control, and mission execution will be tested.
"The events are being conducted in accordance with the approved combat training plans of the CSTO member states. The 'Interaction-2026', 'Search-2026', and 'Echelon-2026' exercises are conducted on a regular basis and alternately on the territories of the organization's member states," the Ministry of Defense statement further reads.
