“Unity of Strength — 2026”: Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan, and Turkey started joint military exercises
In Azerbaijan, the "Strength of Unity — 2026" joint exercises, consisting of 3 countries together with Turkey and Uzbekistan, have begun. The three-stage exercises, which will continue until October 1, are aimed at combating hybrid threats and increasing the combat coordination of the troops.

At the “Gizilgaya” training center in the Karabakh economic region of Azerbaijan, the joint military exercises “Strength of Unity — 2026” have commenced with the participation of military personnel from Azerbaijan, Turkey, and Uzbekistan. This was reported by the Ministry of Defense of Uzbekistan.
It is noted that military personnel, combat equipment, naval and aviation assets, as well as unmanned aerial vehicles of the Ministries of Defense of the three countries are participating in the exercises.
“The main goal of this is to increase the level of readiness for joint operations, improve the mutual cohesion of troops, and standardize training procedures, as well as to develop the combat capabilities of the units,” the report says.
The three-stage exercises will take place not only at the “Gizilgaya” training center, but also at the “Garabaglar” training center in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic and the “Boyuk Zira” training grounds in the Azerbaijani sector of the Caspian Sea.
The Ministry of National Defense of Turkey stated that the exercises began on September 21 and will conclude on October 1.
“The goal of the training is to counter hybrid threats, and to plan and execute joint operations together with the armed forces of partner countries,” the ministry added.
