Applicants with high scores who were not accepted to five programs will be able to choose a sixth one.

Applicants who achieve high scores but are not accepted into any of the five chosen tracks will have the opportunity to select a sixth track. This new procedure is scheduled to go into effect next week.

The Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Innovation clarified that the sixth track will be limited to majors that match the applicant's major and have available spots.

The Ministry also reported that this year, 233,935 applicants scored below 56.7 points, representing 37.54% of all applicants.

There is a downward trend in the percentage of applicants with scores below 56.7 points. For comparison, this figure was 41% in 2025, 43% in 2024, and 46% in 2023.

Leading public universities in Uzbekistan previously began publishing tuition fees under differentiated contracts for the 2026/2027 academic year. At Termez State University, tuition for some programs reaches 90 million soums, while Namangan State Pedagogical Institute has decided to maintain last year's rates.
